West Side Propane Refilling station provides safety and convenience when you want to refill your empty propane cylinder. The trained staff at West Side Propane can help you with purging and filling your propane cylinder. We fill tanks from 20lb to 100 lbs.

With Canada's heightened concerns over all issues green, it is surprising just how little attention propane receives. In addition to fuel savings and cleaner emissions, propane has an established supply infrastructure.

Propane is a gas in its uncompressed state, but it is stored as a liquid. West Side Propane uses a closed storage and delivery system to prevent leaking and evaporative emissions from entering the environment.

Consumer Alert

• Cylinders manufactured after 31 December 1992 with no “TC” markings stamped into the metal of the valve-protection collar, or on the shoulder
• Cylinders that are marked “LIQUID VALVE DO NOT USE FOR PROPANE” or
• Cylinders that are due for requalification, i.e. cylinders that have not been retested for 10 years since their last test date by a facility registered with Transport Canada.

West Side Propane is aware that these types of cylinders exist and must not fill them if we see the warning label on them, or suspect that the cylinder has been modified. If a cylinder is found that falls under the above criteria it must be placed out of service, by law, and no exchange shall be credited. If the one of these cylinders is accidentally filled and the attendant sees foam coming from the connection, the filling must stop and the cylinder must be placed out of service and no exchange shall be credited.
